April started with General Conference. I enjoyed 8 hours on a couch by myself while Jeff enjoyed his time with close company.
Oh look, a cute almost-two-year-old!Eli participated in a living history museum where he dressed and spoke as Thomas Edison.
His hand had a button (sticker) on it that parents would walk by and press to prompt him to deliver his memorized facts. It was cute!
Lincoln turns Oompa Loompa if left on a baseball field for too long during Eli's practices.
We have been sleep training meaning we're on a solid month of nobody getting any sleep. Jonah learned how to crawl out of his crib and has since turned into a bedtime terror. When we finally get him to sleep, the rest doesn't last long. He comes barging into our room every morning in the 5:00 hour. Send. Help.
I guess it's just the early signs of year two! Mr. Sleeplessness had his second birthday! He's a big fan of PJ Masks and I'm a big fan of figurines to make cake decorating...(forgive me) a piece of cake!
Two!
Eli had his first baseball game on Jonah's birthday. Little did we realize we couldn't have planned a better outing...or inning?...for the birthday boy.
Jonah spent the first half of the game clutching to the fence yelling, "GO, BUDDY!" and then screaming with delight whenever the crowd would clap. The second half of the game was spent running towards the gap in the fence where one enters the field, trying his hardest to get in on the action. He LOVES sports and baseball is his current favorite.
For it's ONE (water), TWO (Sprite), THREE (milkshake), spills--you're OUT! When you're eating after the gaaaaaaame!
He's sassy. He's cute. He strings words together in the most adorable ways. He calls blackberries, "black strawberries," every bug is a ladybug, and the first word he utters every morning is a raspy and demanding, "TOAST!" He knows what he wants, he knows how to get it, and he can run with the big dogs/boys. We spend every day giggling at Jonah's antics. He makes us all smile and we love watching him find his place in the family.
On the week of Easter we went to the temple as part of our Night Light of learning what Christ did in the days before his resurrection.
This is what happened when I had three boys sitting clumped together and I told Jonah to sit next to Carson. I mean, technically he's right.
Theeeeeeeeere we go.
They had many questions about the Angel Moroni. Which is how I learned I am highly uneducated about all things regarding the Angel Moroni.
And just like that it was Carson's big day!
Approaching our Google Mini first thing every morning and uttering, "Hey Google, how many days until April 16th" has been Carson's daily ritual since Christmas was over. April 16th finally came and we had a very excited boy on our hands!
Carson has recently found a passion for science, so I found a cute science kit that kept the boys busy all morning.
Then in the afternoon we went to a trampoline park, picked up some pizza and watched The Lego Movie 2 at home, thrilled it was released ON CARSON'S BIRTHDAY. You can't ask for a better present than that!
What you could ask for is for your mom to remember to pick up a "7" candle from the store. I knew I didn't have the "7" come cake time, but I was sure I had seven stray candles to round up for his angel food cake. Twas not the case. I had no way to mask my forgetfullness, which resulted in this mish mash of candles that Carson was a veeeeeeeery good sport about. (So long as we let him draw a 7 on his cake to clarify the candle confusion.)
Carson! He's obsessed with riding bikes. He's a big time explorer. He's very curious about how things work. He still loves art and recently had his artwork selected by his art teacher to be displayed somewhere in the school. He's funny, he's cute, he's creative, and he's silly. We love you, Carson!

Jonah, the birthday boy! Loved the birthday photos of him. Cute cake! Jonah sitting a ways from his brothers at the temple is funny. How fun for Eli and Carson to do Carson's science experiments together. Great birthday gift for Carson. As always--cute boys!!
