2020 Pun

For New Years we spent a few days in Southern Utah. The boys were happy to see snow!
And even happier to see Grandma!

It's always a treat to experience another Excell Family Christmas Tea and Recital.
Eli folded a paper airplane for his talent.
Carson drew a stick figure guy with his eyes closed.
Lincoln and Jonah presented pictures they had drawn (with their eyes open).
The kids were excited to have accumulated a bit of Christmas cash. They bought some fun Lego sets. Eli got an X Wing.
And Carson got a T-wing. Otherwise known as an airplane.
Only two years into Jeff's career and he has already received an award not many officers get for a case he worked on last year. Well done, Jeff! He's a dedicated worker. It's nice to see him appreciated and recognized.
Eli was tasked with creating a solar system model for school. Seeing as I didn't want to run to the store to buy one million styrofoam balls, we got creative and used what we could find lying around the house. My favorite part was Eli got the milk out of the fridge when it was time to take a picture for his teacher, labeling the picture The "Milk"y Way. His teacher (and I) loved the pun!
I told Eli's teacher he came by his puns honestly because, I think everyone reading this knows, I love a good pun. In fact, Jeff wasn't the only one who had an awards ceremony in his honor in January. For my birthday, Jeff had all the kids run upstairs after dinner to get all dressed up to present me with some awards. With Oscar music playing in the background, Eli presented me with the "Best Pun Award," Carson presented me with the "Best Gamer Award," Lincoln gave me the "Best Cook Award," and Jonah closed the ceremony with the "Cutest Mom Award." SO CUTE!
They also got me a gift to go with each award. Eli gave me a popcorn bucket like I grew up eating Sunday popcorn out of and he said something about popping in to wish me a happy birthday. Carson gave me the game Sorry. Lincoln gave me a new pot, and Jonah gave me a mirror. It was so sweet and thoughtful. I loved it!
Then we finished the night with Nothing Bundt Cakes, so yeah, Jeff hit this birthday out of the park!

I would say Jeff hit a home run with your birthday this year. How cute the boys’ awards and gifts were to you. How cute it was that they got all dressed up to present their awards and gifts to you. And how cute of Jeff to get you a Nothing Bundt Cake. Loved it!!

Congratulations to Jeff on his award!! It is nice to be recognized for being a dedicated employee.
