January Adventures

You know, we turned heads in Utah whenever we'd all go out together, but four boys in one cart gets shrieks of excitement and/or shock whenever we run errands in Vegas.
Shrieks of shock and excitement happen from us when we see slime being made. Eli used one of his spiritual lessons as an excuse to make slime. No one (but me) was mad about it. :)
We already managed to get on the church cleaning roster. The boys were very thorough and diligent in their cleaning efforts.

Garbage day remains a highlight of our week. The garbage men always put a show on for the boys, honking their horns every time they pass these fans.
Carson gave us a lesson where we drew the scene of Jesus's birth. I'm a sucker for all of his art and I thought this one was so sweet.
The boys broke into our costumes, leaving me to find a Yoshi in Lincoln's bed one night.
And a proud Mario outside in the hall.
I told the boys to put their school stuff in the closet.
More Carson cuteness here. He's planning his April birthday the first week of January down to the colors of the cupcakes.
The kids had a day off school so we decided to do some sightseeing. We found a cute nature preserve place? that provided a morning's worth of entertainment.
The most entertaining part were these cockatoos who said hello whenever we walked by them and screamed at us if we weren't walking by them. They were so funny. Then on our way out they all screamed, "BYEE!" They are my favorite Vegas attraction.

January appears to be fall in Vegas as there was an array of pumpkins on display. This fall-loving bunch didn't mind the seasonally confused decor.
As soon as Jonah sees me start to get dinner ready, he grabs a toy and then sits in his seat for the entire duration of my dinner preparations.
Our next adventure was to Red Rock Canyon. Even with the freezing breeze, we quickly decided it was our new favorite place.

And on the way home we found the coolest park we've ever seen. Vegas is starting to pleasantly surprise us!
The boys built nests one day with laundry baskets and blankets. They don't often play pretend all together, so this was an especially adorable moment.
