The Sunday Comic

Working at a hotel you tend to see the okay and the worst of people. Because they have been traveling for an extended period of time, I am rarely dealing with people who are at the top of their game. Examples include:

-Calling in to tell me the exact time they will be arriving at the hotel.
-Asking me to come bring them 5 fresh bath towels right after they check in
-Wanting to tell me all about their day while I have another guest waiting to be checked in
-The truck drivers who give me advice about how to succeed at life.
-The people who walk in Monday and ask "How many inches is it going to rain on Friday?"
-The guests who refuse to believe the camera in the pool room is real and take a lap or two in their birthday suit.

Just to name a few. Hence the Sunday Comic. The word bubbles are what the guests are saying just to clear up any confusion.

haha! I love it! No one truly understands until they work there. It's amazing how people tend to lose there ability to think when they go on vacation... :) The best one is when you tell the guests no pets and they say, "I guess she can't come." or " does she count?" haha, we've never heard that before...

Oh that is too funny!!! I love it! Oh how I don't miss the guests at the hotel! No one can ever relate unless they've worked at one. Thanks for the laugh!

Sarah,

I love your comics and I think you should take suggestions for names. I vote how to Excell at life because if you use double excell, then what happens when you have a baby, tripe excell and so on.

I really think you should let us come up with our suggestions.

Hmmm Let's see, what could we suggest???

Excell ance at work
The pursuit of Excell ance
The Excell Fish Mourge

I will have to think on some others.

Have a great day.

Sarah, again, as usual, you hit it on the head!! It is hysterical how rediculous people are! Just never work in this industry as long as I have. Becasue if you do, YOU WILL BE AS WEIRD AND QUIRKY AS ME!!!! LOL.
Seriously, I wish everyone could read a book, that we, hospitality people, would love to write. Only then, maybe they could get a clue.. Thanks for the Sunday comics. It was great.

I don't have anything to say about this post. I just saw your poll and am the lone voter for "Lucky Number 8." I LOVE that name! I think you should explain to your readers why you chose that. Do they even know? I vote not to change the name (unless Dad pulls through with some better alternatives, that is)!

Are you feeling like you need to add your last name to your title to compete with other outstanding blogs such as GoldenGrams, Thomas Tribune, and Thomas-a-Roni?
