Solids

Does anyone have an instruction book on how to turn a baby's biological clock back an hour for Daylight Savings? We did not benefit from the fall backwards time change this year.

On a completely unrelated note -- Eli ate rice cereal for the first time! I was going to wait until his 5-month birthday, but then we bought the cereal in preparation for the big event. Then we saw the cereal on top of the fridge. Then we imagined how cute Eli would look in a bib. Then before we knew it we had Eli in a chair and we were shoving rice cereal down his throat.

I plan on making homemade baby food this week. We'll see how that goes.

What a good eater. I made most of my baby food and it was pretty easy. Good luck with the diapers!

He looks like he doesn't mind baby food. It seems like all of you kids pulled such a face and had to learn to like the stuff.

It's so fun to feed a baby for the first time, I love messy faced baby pictures. Okay, what happened to Eli's finger?!

He has only eaten "solids" this one time, but he did eat it pretty good! He ate a good seven bites before he started gagging. And we didn't even get any funny faces out of him.

The burn on his finger. Oh. I was hoping we could get by with no one noticing the burn. Jeff held Eli next to a fireplace for a second. Eli stuck his hand out and touched the hot glass. He only touched it for like, half a second, but it left quite the mark. It was sad, but he didn't really cry too much about it and didn't seem too bothered by the sore. So that's the story.

Before admitting to that story about Eli's alleged burnt finger, I need to consult my attorney.
